Microsoft D365 F&O

CleanEDI delivers normalised EDIFACT data into D365 Finance and Operations via OData entities. Inbound ORDERS arrive as purchase orders, inbound INVOIC as vendor invoices, inbound DESADV as product receipts. Outbound flows work in reverse. The connector handles the EDIFACT-to-D365 mapping, including partner cross-references, GLN-to-account resolution, site and warehouse mapping, and legal entity routing. This is not just JSON delivery to a webhook. It is a real D365 integration that understands your business structure.

Early Access means the core inbound flow is built and tested. Outbound and advanced cross-reference configuration are in active development. We work with Early Access customers directly to complete their specific setup.

Common questions

Does it create real D365 records or just deliver JSON?

Real D365 records via OData data entities. A purchase order lands in D365 as a purchase order, not as a file you need to process separately.

How are GLN numbers resolved to D365 accounts?

The CleanEDI partner registry maps GLN numbers to D365 account, vendor, and customer IDs. This is configured during onboarding and maintained by CleanEDI.

What about site, warehouse, and legal entity routing?

These are part of the partner and message-type configuration in CleanEDI. Each trading partner and message type can route to a specific D365 legal entity, site, and warehouse.

Message Queues and Event Streams

CleanEDI publishes normalised business events to your message queue or event stream of choice. Azure Service Bus, Amazon SQS, Google Cloud Pub/Sub, and Kafka are all supported. Any downstream consumer, whether an Azure Function, Lambda, Cloud Run service, or custom application, picks up clean structured messages without knowing anything about EDIFACT. If your architecture is event-driven, CleanEDI fits into it natively regardless of which cloud you are on.

Webhook / REST

Every CleanEDI plan includes webhook and REST delivery as standard. If your system can receive an HTTP POST or call an API, it can connect to CleanEDI with no additional connector required. This covers custom-built systems, internal APIs, and any platform not on the pre-built connector list. JSON, XML, and CSV payloads are all supported out of the box.

If your system is not on this list, it can almost certainly still connect to CleanEDI. Anything that can receive an HTTP POST or call an API is compatible. We have connected to custom-built ERPs, legacy warehouse systems, internal APIs, and homegrown order management tools.

CleanEDI is cloud-agnostic. It does not matter whether your infrastructure is on Azure, AWS, GCP, or your own data centre. If your system can receive a message, CleanEDI can deliver one.
